"I could never have imagined that Simon would stoop to that!" Said Slyvia in murmurs with a whiff of envy stinking inside her. Maurice, ever plain and honest, couldn't hold her thoughts back.

 "Why? You can't deny the fact that she's beautiful and modest. It is hard for any sensible man not to fall for her." 

"Beautiful!" Sylvia was deadpan.

"Yes, even the blind can detect that, or would you rather he'd chosen you?.. She said, reading her strappy figure in mockery and grinned.

"Mind your tongue, Maurice!" She said sternly.

"I am sure she's just a stop-gap. Simon can't leave Nisha for her."

Someone turned on the knob and they all sprang to the corner.  Who could say
