Rejection

Amayah stood afar and watched his father cry into his mother's grave. They were done with the funeral and his father was the only one left behind. He couldn’t bring himself to go home just yet. Amayah hated he was the one making him go through that much suffering. He wished everything could just stop.

Amayah walked up to where his dad knelt down beside the grave.

“What do you want Amayah… get away from me”. He said barely sparring Amayah a glance.

“I’m sorry Dad”. Amayah pleaded.

“You keep saying that”. He said feeling irritated.

“your pathetic sorry wouldn’t bring her back would they”. He pushed Amayah in the chest.

“Get away from me before I will do what I will regret”. He pushed him again.

Amayah fell on his butt due to the force his dad used in pushing him.

“I’m sorry”. Tears rolled down his cheek as he pleaded.
