Chap_35. Need An Anchor

Early in the evening when Eden got back to her place after office, it seemed strangely quiet like never before. She searched for her parents but having no sight of them, she took out her phone to call her mother as some panicky thoughts crossed her mind.

But startling her, her phone started buzzing with the same number flashing on the screen. Eden answered the call without wasting another moment.

"Mom, where are you and Dad? You didn't mention going out." Eden said, trying to sound normal.

"We are at the hospital, Eden." She tried to sound normal but the effort, she was putting in, Eden felt it all.

"For as usual health checkup on Dad?" Eden said, desperately hoping to hear a yes. Though she knew her father's scheduled check-up routine. It wasn't today, but still two weeks to go to be specific.

"Eden, Dad isn't well. I brought him to hospital."
