Chap_36. I am Ready

When Damien reached his cabin, his as usual coffee wasn't waiting for him. Nor his desk looked like arranged neatly. He took an overall glance at his cabin and then turned to the wall of his cabin. Eden's cabin wasn't next to his but he still stared at it wondering if she wasn't in yet.

She had never been late until now.

He walked to his desk and took the intercom to make a call to her. His direct phone calls and messages were getting ignored anyway. Her intercom also remained unanswered too much for his irritation.

Half an hour passed but there was no sight of Eden and this time, Damien got worried. Did she decide to leave the job? Leave him altogether? Without even bothering to talk to him for once!

He took the intercom and called the receptionist to know if Eden was in. Her answer disappointed him even more. He reached for his phone only to notice the text from Eden.

She was asking for two days off. No, she wasn’t asking. She was just informing him that she was taking it.
