At least here I felt safe. Only he can protect my baby and me, now. I was ready to accept anything to make that happen. I concluded in my mind.

"Are you really curious to know about my predicament?" I asked softly.

Predicament? He thought. "If we're to proceed with our arrangement we ought to know each other... Don't you think?" He asked.

"Right, we should." I agreed, shaking my head. "I will tell you then." I sighed.

"Tell me," he said, cocking his head and crossing his arms.

"I had a long day yesterday, when I came back home to call it a day, I found out my friend and her husband had sold me out for pennies. I couldn't believe it." I huffed.

He said nothing, simply urging me to go on.

"Nothing more happened. I knew I couldn't fight a battle I knew I'd lose so for my boy... I gave in and docilely let him take me to his place. However, at second thought I couldn't take it. It was just too cruel to comprehend. I couldn't let myself and my son live out the rest of our lives in bo
