Thirty Nine

When Kristen could not hold the anger bubbling up in her belly, she stood up and glared at him.

"F*ck you, Frederick, and everything you represent, now if you don't mind, kindly take me out of here this minute? Because if you don't I am ready to tear your throat out and bury your lifeless body in the sea"

Frederick flinched as if he had been hit physically.

"It's not funny," she said through gritted teeth.

"Why does she look so scary?" Frederick asked as he stood up and stared at the woman. Her words were ice cold but it took him only a second to realize that what she said wasn't exactly true. She seemed angry, yes. But behind those eyes, he saw sadness, confusion, and pain.

His stomach twisted painfully and he quickly stood up and moved to take her in his arms but she moved backwards.

'I don't need your pity right now, just take me out of here"

She warned him, threatening him with her eyes.
