Chapter 63: Outrage

Olive's POV

I ran to where Orvyn lay and lifted his trunk on my lap. "Orvyn, can you hear me?" I cried, smoothing the black silky fur on his forehead. His hand clasped his chest. He was in pain. "Orvyn, it's me, Olive. Please, say something. Open your eyes."

Through teary eyes, I glared spitefully at the scared princess. They sat at the edge of the bed, holding each other. Queen Latifah had covered her with a fur coat, an arm tucked around her shoulder.

A vein of jealousy bulged in my temples. I wanted mother to hold my hands too. I needed her. The princess was indeed shaken up that she trembled in mother's arms, still, I didn't give a damn. My temper was rising with every heart beat.

"What did you do?" I rumbled.

"What we should be asking now is why Alpha Orvyn is a Lycan." Alpha Vladim chimed. "Has he always been a Lycan and know one knew anything about it?" He cast an accusatory look at Conrad and I.
