“Something isn't right,” I voiced out my thoughts aloud. Natasha adjusted her position on the chair, while Kai moved away from her.

“I feel the same too. Everything is moving too smoothly. And Xavier hasn't attacked in a while.” Gwev seconded.

“Didn't you say this place is masked by a certain magic, and no one can find us here?” Kai asked, and I turned towards Gwev.

“That isn't even my line of focus. Zeke, what is the Circle like? The Heart, I mean?” Natasha asked, and I frowned.

My brows knitted together, finally relaxing when I understood what she was talking about.

“Everyone's too calm. Too calm for my liking. It's almost as if this isn't a war.” Qyle put in, stroking his knuckle.
