Chapter Twenty-Six.

Flanked by two men who were obviously trying to kiss his ass, Jayden looked more arrogant than ever. He crossed his arms, his gaze alternating between me and Zeke.

“You,” Zeke muttered.

I nudged his arm, in an attempt to remind him that we were in a public place. Jayden smacked his lips loudly.

“We meet again. I didn't think you had it in you to abduct my fiancèe.” His voice went a notch higher, and my face darkened.

I could see what he was trying to do. I turned to see other guests staring at us, and whispering in hushed voices. Nessa came over at that moment.

“What nonsense are you spouting, Mr Jayden?” She stood beside me protectively. Qyle stood a few meters away, an amused look on his face.

“What nonsense?” He repeated. “Are you in cohort with him?” He continued blabbing, gesturing at Zeke.

The whispers grew louder. My lips parted to speak, but Zeke spoke first.

“You should leave while I'm in a good mood.” He warned.
