Chapter 43

Victoria POV

I watched him as he walked out of the house. I slammed the door shut immediately he stepped out of the house and leaned my back on it. I knew that he was still standing there because I could see his shadow from under the door. I took several deep breaths to calm myself down. I was feeling a lot of emotions.

I was angry at him for not believing me and thought that I would make up a lie like that just to spite. I was angry because I thought that it would mean more to him when he finally found out the true reason why we ‘broke up’. But underneath all that I was sad. His last words rang in my mind.

“It wouldn’t be fair for me to just judge her based on what you believe happened. She’s my fiancé.”

“What do I believe happened?” I said out loud in utter disbelief.
