Caleb POV

It was my last day in Sedona before I had to travel back to Los Angeles and just like the first night I arrived home, a family dinner was thrown before my flight later that night. There was no real reason for it or occasion to celebrate, my family just liked to meet together. Just like last time, Victoria was notably absent.

This time, it was Gloria who asked where she Was and surprisingly, my dad gave the answer.

“I bumped into her when I was running errands in town. She sends her apologies, she won’t be able to come for this dinner.”

“Did she say why?” Melissa asked, sounding rather disappointed.

I was actually surprised that Tori had not filled her mother in on everything that was going on considering how close they were.

“No, but to be honest, I didn’t ask. I’m sorry darling. I could call her right now,” my father replied.

He looked guilty as hell.
