MAEVE’S POV

I was angry at the fact that Alpha Zane avoided looking at me. He made it seem as though they were going to die or something.

And it made me fucking scared. I didn’t want to lose him. I wanted us to be together even after death.

That was why when we got to his room, I couldn’t hold back my emotions anymore.

I didn’t know what he was expecting me to show him, but he was surprised when I crushed his lips with mine.

This was what I wanted to show him. How much I yearned for him. How much I loved him.

He froze for a few seconds as though he didn’t expect me to kiss him but he eventually grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him.

The kiss was rough and demanding due to how we poured our unsaid words and emotions into the kiss.
