MAEVE’S POV

“What could that possibly be?” I asked Billy with creased brows.

He sighed and the look on his face made me know that whatever he was going to tell me wasn’t going to be pleasant to my hearing at all.

“It’s about his mother,” Billy said and looked at me as though he wanted to be sure that I wanted him to say more.

Looking back to all these while Alpha Zane and I have been together. He never talked much about his family. Especially his mother.

But who would blame him? It wasn’t like we had shared our childhood memories. We didn’t have the time to.

The little moment we spent together, we wanted to cherish it.
