Lost in the Full Moon

As the night went on, I could not help but notice having a hard time adjusting to the small share she had on the bed. She kept tossing and turning, trying to find a comfortable position.

So I quietly sat up and placed my hand on her arm. She did not stir, giving me the chance to know she was already deep in sleep. I gently pulled her towards me, placing her head on my chest.

Then I wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close, careful not to wake her up. The warmth from my body seemed to calm her, and her breathing gradually become steadier compared to earlier.

Once I settled her on my shoulder, I listened to the sound of her breathing. I was relieved that she was finally able to sleep soundly. But something caught my attention, and I could not help but stare at her face.

We were so close that I could see every little detail of her features. The curve of her eyelashes, the dimply on her cheek, and the small scar above her left eyebrow. I had never noticed these
