Keeping a promise nonetheless. I was walking back from training with Blake, giggling about her impending flirting with the new trainees and whether she could get away with it under Lance’s careful watch. She was rating the new recruits when one of Spike’s friends walks past us and I use the opportunity to find out where Nadine is based. “Hey…” Awkward, I don’t actually know his name.“Bernie!” Bernie rolls his eyes at me. “Hey Bernie. Odd question but where does Nadine stay?”“Why?” He rightfully asks, cagey towards me. “If I lost I promised Spike I would check on Nadine…” I admit. “But you won!” He narrows his eyes at me. “I would like to check on her anyway!”We walk into Building B to find a new female unpacking at a recently added third bed. “Hello!” Blake walks in before me, greeting our, I mean her new room mate. I was fighting the urge to run up those stairs into Lance’s apartment and nuzzle into his neck. “Hi…I’m Nyah!” She smiles at us both in a confident manner. And
Not quite driving, but a start. “Hhhmm good morning!” Lance hums into my ear, as his morning arousal digs into my lower spine. “Morning!” I yawn. Hadn’t we only just gone to sleep? After watching me eat dinner, like I was deliberately taking my time, he placed me in the shower where we did it, and then dried me on the bed, where we did it, and then as we went to bed, when we did it for the third time that evening. Four times in total yesterday including our morning reunion! I was going to have to eat more! “I have to get up for a meeting, go back to sleep for a bit!” He says as he kisses my breasts. “If you insist!” I reply, pulling my hands through his hair. “Save it for later!” He kisses my lips before springing out of bed. “Later? No I need to sleep in my quarters Lance!” I call out to him as he walks into the kitchen to make a coffee. “You can’t! People will know, we are either a couple or you are using me for sex to get ahead. I have a reputation Aida!” He chuckles out fro
Training with witches. “Tucker, Mav switch stages with me!” Alpha commands as he approaches us from behind carrying a lantern in his hands. They acknowledge their orders as Alpha joins Lance talking to the small but mighty group of witches. I take a step closer, joining Tate, Blake and Hong, who are standing watching the witches also. Hong and Tate have a very different expression to Blake. They might as well be drooling. “Where are you going?” I growl at Axel for taking steps towards the witches. “To say hello!” He smirks at me, fully aware at how hard I am finding this situation. Jerk! “This doesn’t sit well with me!” I whisper to Blake. “What the hot witches chatting up your boyfriend or that witches are part of training today!” “He isn’t my boyfriend!” I seethe through gritted teeth at her, turning to stand in front of her, positioning myself face to face. “So you won’t mind that Lance’s hand is currently placed on a witch’s behind?” She smirks at me. “I’m not falling for
Returned from the dead. Odd, these witches were odd. They weren’t hurting me, just touching me. “What are they doing?” I can hear Axel ask Lance. It was as if I were underwater, I could hear everything on the outside but it wasn’t completely clear. “I don’t know.” Lance roars in anger, his wolf pushing forward, clawing at the orb. “Aida?” Axel runs up to the orb and places his palm against it. “Are you okay?” His voice sounded desperate. “Yes, they aren’t hurting me I just don’t like it.” I whisper but I don’t think Axel has heard me. “I’ll get you out!” Lance replies. How can he hear me but not Axel? “Lance…I don’t like this.” I whisper back. “I know, just stay calm.” He says standing back, his eyes glazing over into a mind-link. “Orb….”“Death…”The witches repeat for a few minutes in a trance and at first I am oblivious to what they mean, until flashbacks hit my mind of the moment I died in the car crash. How could they know? “What is going on?” The Lycan Queen’s aura is
I’m still me. “Out, everybody OUT!” I awake to the angry voice of Lance coming from the living room of his apartment. I am laying in his bed, oblivious to how long I may have been laying here. “Lance, I have questions…” A stern female voice objects. “I said OUT!” He roars out loud. He can’t talk to the Lycan Queen like that, he’ll get arrested or something.“Lance…calm down.” Blake growls at her cousin. “I’m not going until she is awake.” I hear Axel start a sit-in protest as he makes himself comfortable on the sofa. “Axel, she is mine not yours!” He growls at his good friend. “Not yet she isn’t and I’m not going until I know she is okay!” Axel growls in return. “Fine.” Lance sighs. “Everybody else out.” He orders. “No Lance, this is a big deal. Why were the witches talking about Aida being dead, is it a premonition?” Blake pushes for information. “I can’t remember…”“Bullshit. I saw what the witches did to you. They showed you something…something from Aida’s past.” Rafe pip
Home made lycan vodka. Just keep smiling, just keep smiling. It was my current motto. I refused to eat in the canteen, I tried it the following day after the incident but couldn’t eat. Whispers and stares were constantly about and on me. Even training was awkward. The only thing I actually enjoyed was my private driving lessons with Lance, I can’t believe I’ve used driving and enjoyed in the same sentence. He was incredibly patient with me and we had managed to keep the engine running for up to two minutes before I change my mind and turn it off. Hopefully I could string it out long enough so that when May came, I could graduate without having actually driven the car. I stayed with Lance every night, he was with me for every training session…he was clearly taking the witches warning seriously. Today was Friday and I was looking forward to shutting that apartment door and locking it shut this weekend. I just needed to hide away for a day or two. “Aida, there you are!” Nyah walks up
Orders are orders! The next four weeks passed slowly. Senses training wasn’t quite what I expected. It was a lot of running around blindfolded, trying to smell scents in gas situations that burned at our nostrils and throats, crawling through a lot of mud and pretend torture situations with cold ice water. I wasn’t a fan! Lance had continued with my driving lessons, every morning. He switched cars on me to automatic when I couldn’t get used to the gear change. So far I could drive up to ten miles per hour down to the high street. I was slow, but at least I was still alive. Lance had suggested at our last lesson that I try to park the car, reversing. I turned off the engine and walked back to base after his suggestion. I could tell this weekend was the King’s pack visit. Lance and Mav had been busy organising security, because Axel was spending more time with me. I still was never left alone. My wolf was on edge knowing Lance would be leaving us this weekend to attend, and have she-
An unwanted journey. My stress levels were incredibly high. Lance, Mav and Tucker left with the security detail on Wednesday evening and the King. It was very quiet without Hong, Tate and Blake at training but I got to practice with my throwing knives. I even let Rafe have a turn a few times. I wasn’t stupid, he was keeping an eye on me when Axel was preoccupied. They hadn’t mentioned it but I had a strong feeling Rafe was going to be catching a lift with us to my family pack. He was more annoying than Rory, at least Rory knew when to shut up. Rafe just kept on going until I threw something at him or Axel growled. So far he had licked off mash potato, a cupcake and lemon curd pie off his face. I’d spent every night while Lance and Mav had left speaking with Colette. She seemed to be enjoying the quietness again after a hectic Christmas, although I knew she was missing Mav.I was finalising my packing in Lance’s apartment with Axel. He had slept on the couch for last few nights and e
