Chapter Sixty-Four

Back to the new norm.

The next few days sped by and I was sad to leave Colette’s and Mav’s home after enjoying my winter break. The plan was for Axel to drive myself, Mav, Blake and Tucker back to base on the Monday, ready to return to training on Tuesday. I had promised to speak with Colette as much as I could and wanted to know every pregnancy development of their baby girl. Lance had returned early to push through Rafe’s application quickly and to sort out a few issues that had arisen in his absence. I missed him terribly, even more so on New Year’s Eve and I was forced to kiss Tucker at midnight. Just a peck but to kiss Axel would have been gross and Mav was definitely off limits. I had offered to kiss Blake but that meant Axel and Tucker would be paired up and both refused on the spot.
