Chapter 24: A Strange Kenzie

"For Andrew's sake, I will have my eye on you." Rosa's last line felt somewhat of a threat to Kenzie, but she knew better. This woman only cared for Andrew.

She pursed her lips before answering, "Well good, Rosa, because I could use the company, going around town." She smiled happily and asked, "For starters, I could use a great coffee so after I unpack, let's go grab one. My treat."

Two hours later, Kenzie and Rosa found themselves at a nearby coffee shop, known to be the best around the block. It was called The Steam Beans Cafe.

The establishment was classy, spacious, and refreshing at the same time, decorated with indoor plants in between tables and mostly, hanging from the ceiling.

After getting Rosa's preference for their lunch, Kenzie went to the counter to order their meal and of course, a good dose of coffee.

The coffee was late for Kenzie, but better late than having no caffeine at all.

Just as she paid
