Chapter 22

Marienne's Pov

As the first rays of light filtered through the windows, I slowly opened my eyes and stretched my arms and legs. The sound of birds chirping outside my window filled the air, creating a peaceful and calm atmosphere.

As I sat up in bed and rubbed the sleep from my eyes, I took a deep breath and felt the fresh morning air fill my lungs. It was a refreshing feeling, as if the world was new and full of possibilities. I could feel the energy of the day starting to build, and I knew that it was going to be a good one.

My mind began to wander back to the events of the previous night. I found myself ashamed of my actions, I was supposed to hate them for what they did to me and not let them touch me. My body seems to lose control whenever I am around them and I find myself surrendering to their desires.
