Marienne's pov

The rest of the night was full of entertainment as Derek the Vampire King hired many musicians, and comedians to keep us company. But my mates were more interested in having a conversation with him. I only had to spend a few hours. Before I retired for the night, walking to my room.

I woke up the next morning quite early, it was decided that we would go ahead of Alexis and she would join us later.

I took my time to look around the lavish room that Derek had assigned to me. The room seems to block the morning sun. And I understood why, vampires are affected by the sun, I miss the warmth of the sun on my skin and couldn't wait to go home.

I was scared of war, but it was the only way to set free my mother and I was willing to take it. I just hope it turns out well for us.

I got off the bed as I began gathering my belonging and stepped out of the opulent room, The guards helped picked up my luggage as I walk out of the castle, when I got to the entrance.
