The ride

Zoey stared into the car as she pressed her face against the glass. I wasn't sure she could see me but I noticed Mr. Phineas get tense. He was probably terrified being. Why wouldn't he be? He had driven me through this god awful district and now to him there was a strange woman peering into his car.

"She's my friend." I said seeing his tense expression.

"She's completely harmless." I said. Except when she's trying to get into you pants. That's when she turns into a maniac.

"Oh." He said. "I think that makes whatever she's doing less weird."

I watched as he tried to absorb this new piece of information. It took a while but eventually his face relaxed. Zoey refused to move away or bulge from her insanely suspicious position.
