I don't have any enemies that I know of, except if my old Alpha is out to get me for running away. That could be the case when I think about it. But for him to find me with other rogues in a human town, I don't see it happening.

"Why is it safer here when I don't trust him or want to be anywhere near him? I don't get it," I say when she shakes her head at me and rises from her seat.

"We are all forbidden to speak about it, he is the only one that can explain it to you, and I hope he will one day," she says when I slowly get up from my seat. It's painful to move, and I don't manage to turn my body and get the robe on when she walks over to me and helps me get it on.

"Why can't you speak about it? He isn't here," I say when she helps me tie it around my waist.

"It's only the closest of his men that knows the truth except me and my father, but we are all forbidden by his Alpha command to talk about it with anyone else. So even if I want to tell you what's going on, I can't, Ka
