"Did you just ask me to marry you?" I asked Simon as I tried to get off the bed.

"Don't go getting all worked up now," he replied, getting to his feet. "I'll keep my distance if it makes you uncomfortable but we can both come to an agreement."

Seeing that he had gotten off the bed, I folded my arms, stared at him, and scoffed, "Do you think I'm a fool? What does marrying you have to do with getting revenge on Jude and Riley?"

"Jude's mother is my sister and that means he is my nephew," he stated and once again, my eyes widened in surprise.

In all the years I dated Jude, he never once told me he had an uncle. He made me believe his mother was an only child, greatly loved by his grandfather.

The information I had received about Simon did not show that he had a sibling, so I became even more suspicious.
