"What are you doing?"
Danielle almost lost her balance when Lucas appeared out of the blue. She was trying to walk without her crutches while leaning her hand against the wall for occasional support.
"Aren't you supposed to be resting?" he asked again. Apparently, the real owner of her unit barged in again without knocking first. Lucas looked like he came straight from the office as he was still wearing his suit.
"I'm exercising my legs," she answered, a matter of fact before reaching for her crutches again. "What brought you here, Mr. Del Fierro?"
"I brought you food. Thought you might be too weak to go out and eat. Turned out, you're good as new," he shrugged his shoulders as he put the paper bag of take out food on the table.
"Is this your way of saying sorry?" Danie felt a little happy in her heart. But she maintained a poker face as she said those words.
