Third person's p.o.v

"I agree to stay with Daniel."

Daniel stood up immediately. He was not expecting Linda to accept his proposal. Hell, he had even planned to make her stay by force. He was not ready to let her go until he was sure that he was forgiven.

He looked at his father and he was beyond shocked. His upper eyelids raised and the lower one remained neutral.

Daniel was bewildered at first but then a smile played on his lips. A smirk of victory actually.

"Linda, do you know what you are saying, my child?" Brant asked with a raspy voice. He did not know what was playing on Linda's mind to invite her own miseries again.

"Of course I do. He said that he wants to take care of me. So why not give him a chance? Everyone deserves a second chance anyway. Am I right Daniel?"
