Third person’s p.o.v“There’s no reason for him to lie to me.”Linda added with mixed emotions. The more Morillo was speaking the higher her doubts were getting. “Did you get in touch with him?”She was questioned and simply nodded yes. “How?”Morillo crossed his arms and bore his eyes on Linda. “Call.” “Video call?”Linda denied and answered that she did only voice call to which Morillo chuckled sarcastically. “I don’t have time to brag so listen to me carefully. If someone messes with my family, his place is six feet underground. You are now a part of the Anderson so you are included in as well. I am here instead of beating the shit out of that man because he is your childhood friend. I also came to know that he has been on the wrong term with my nephew. Go talk to him and find out why he lied to you.” Morillo leaned closer and recited those words in a low and husky voice. He might be in the underworld but his family mattered to him even if he had not stayed in touch with them
Third person's p.o.v Once Max settled down at her father's place, Linda led her way back to the mansion. Fatigue had consumed her to such an extent that she could throw herself in any couch or bed that would appear before her.She stumbled while walking on the entrance. Her shoulders slumped and her energy level became low. People would mistake her for being drunk if they saw her in such a state. When she entered inside, she saw the entire family including Daniel, sitting on the couch and staring at her. She cleared her throat and instantly adjusted her posture. "You made an entry at the right time. Have a seat." Brant uttered and Linda nearly cursed on her head. She wanted her consciousness to be suspended for a while. She forced a smile and did what Brant said. She sat next to Daniel but the uneven breathing of him caught her attention. His hands were clenched in a fist and a muscle in his jaw jum
Third person’s p.o.v“Good morning, Daniel.”Linda enthusiastically greeted the man who came out of his room yawning. The timing of getting out of their room together was perfect. “Good morning.”Daniel gave her a sweet and genuine smile to which Linda’s heart jumped in happiness. Two weeks had flown since Daniel had accepted the deal and he changed his behaviour towards Linda. She told her in-laws to play along with her. Pressuring or forcing Daniel to marry or make a place in his heart for her would only drive him away from her. After all, no adult would want people to seize away their ability to refuse or accept things. So, controlling his life was banned by Linda to Mary and Brant and they accepted only for her sake. However, disappointment flushed in her vein because Daniel had not remembered anything even when she told him about how he was before losing the memories. She was not there with him for five years. They had spent nearly
Third person's p.o.vAs soon as those words came out of that old man's mouth, Daniel's body stiffened and he stared at Linda so that she could say something. But she was equally shocked as him. It came out of the blue. Neither Linda nor Daniel expected that. His mind was screaming for her to say no but she chose silence. Linda had told her in-laws not to rush things yet, but they were adamant. The new relationship she had created with Daniel would not take a second to crumble. "I hope you do not have any objection with it." Daniel's gaze never left Linda. He was encouraging her to speak through his eyes but her tranquillity was coming the best out of her. Rage started to build inside of him. "Isn't it too early for this?"She finally uttered. She could see that she was returning back to where it all started. "I was unable to attend Santino's wedding. I wish to see my grandson tying a knot. Santino promised me." "I do not wish to get married." Daniel roared. "You do not get to
Third person's p.o.v Guilt and regret washed over Daniel as he got farther and farther. He stopped the car and watched through the side rear mirror if any car was following him but there was none. He ran his fingers through his hairs and rubbed his face. His bodyguards were supposed to be behind him and Linda was supposed to be in the car with them. He fished his phone out and pressed Linda's number to confirm her safety but was pissed off when her phone rang in the car itself. His head was constantly pounding. He let his negative emotions take over and hurt someone who actually cared for him. Instead of acting like a man, a warrior, he showed the childish part of him. Linda was just trying to help. She was not the one to initiate the talk about marriage instead she talked back against it. He called her a friend but acted like an enemy. It was his fault that he was driving at a speed that could lead to death. Anyone in that situation would tremble with fear. He took out his frus
Third person's p.o.vIn front of Linda stood her doppelganger, Lilith with a smile on her face while she was crying. She would have thought it was her own reflection in a mirror but the different emotions said otherwise. Then that girl lifted her hand and wiped Linda's tears. Her actions melted Linda's heart and a connection was felt. Maybe if she had a sister, life would have been easier to deal with. Her mouth opened to let words out but she was unable to speak. Gradually, Lilith faded and blackness consumed Linda. The next thing she saw was an unfamiliar ceiling. Her need to fall back asleep got into her. She returned to that phase in life where sleeping and dreams were much better than reality. She tried to move her hand but felt a sting on the back of her hand. The slight weight on her hand made her open her eyes fully and looked for the reason. An intravenous was put on her. Her confused mind tried to remember what had happened and when everything appeared clear, she jolted a
Third person’s p.o.vThe weather was good and enjoyable yet it felt as dark as night for Linda. It did not have the same feel like before. Entering the house, she saw everyone sitting in the living room apart from Daniel. Brant was rubbing his temple while Mary was crying silently. Morillo and his men stood there idly. “Mom.”She felt bad though. She should have at least informed Mary about her whereabouts. She did not do anything but loved her as her own daughter. For sure, she would go ballistics if she did not come home for one night.Everyone’s head turned to Linda and Mary ran to her only to give her a tight hug. “Where were you? Are you okay?”She analysed Linda through tears and Linda nodded in agony as well. “What the hell is wrong with you? Couldn’t you give us a call to tell us that you were okay? You did not have your phone with you and we were unable to trace you. We were so worried.”Morillo said with gritted teeth. That for no reason criticism got Linda hot under the
Third person’s p.o.vDaniel did not take her absence seriously for the past two days but he could not hold himself now. So he did what he thought was the best to do. He picked up a plate, put two pairs of sandwiches in it and poured two glasses of juice. "Bring them to Linda's room." He commanded one of the maids."What are you doing?" "We will have breakfast together, mom."The servant followed Daniel until he reached Linda's room. He knocked continuously and loudly till that irritating sound reached Linda's ears and forced her to open the door. Linda planned to kill the person in front of her. She had already informed everyone not to disturb her and a big 'do not disturb sign' was hung on the board as a warning. Daniel's eyes remained fixed on the girl who was in front of her. Linda had worn a white tank top with a black short and her hair was messily tied in a bun. She had held several brushes in one hand and a palette in the other one. While she did not spare her mouth as we
