One Last Time

A child.

They slept together several times, yet the thought had never even crossed her mind before Justin mentioned it.

Clutching her belly in her trembling arms, Denise moved slowly through the forest. She hadn’t spoken a single word in more than an hour, so Jack was beginning to think her brother had done something.

“Denise…” His feet stopped their movement as he looked back at her, breaking the silence, “…You’ve been lost in your thoughts ever since your brother left. Are you sure we can trust him?”
