Conrad Declan’s POV

“Because you’re Conrad! All you ever do is lie to me!”

Jenna’s words kept replaying in my head as I sat alone in the cafeteria. I was angry that she saw me as nothing but a liar. How could she accuse me of uploading that video? I had no idea someone was in that room when we kissed. Her words hurt me and it made me realize how low she thought of me. How could she be so sure that I did it?

As I stared down at my tuna casserole, Toralei joined me at my table. She was smiling as usual, it’s funny how she thought she could win me over with that smile.

“Hey, Conrad,” she said.

I got forced a smile, “Hey.”

She started with the flirty hair tucks before she spoke, “Do you know how we, when we were still together, made plans to run for prom king and queen?”

“Yes, but we aren’t together anymore,” I replied bluntly. My mood was already ruined and talking about going to prom with my ex, wasn’t going to help my situation.

“Let’s run for prom king and queen…as friends.” She final
