Chapter 196

Hue and Jennet were downstairs when they heard loud bangs coming from upstairs.

“What is that?” Jennet glanced in alarmed, half-jumping from her seat. Hue rose from his chair and assured her to sit comfortably.

“I’ll go and check,” he said.

“Be careful, honey.” Jennet sat down, hoping nothing bad would happen.

Hue went upstairs and realised the loud bangs had come from their bedroom. He grabbed a hanger from the laundry basket near the stairs. In his grasp, the hanger morphed into a sabre.

“Gomi?” he called.

‘Yes, master?’ replied a voice in his head.

‘Do you sense something off?’

‘Apart from the spirit is ill, nothing else.’
