Helen’s pov

Getting home, I reached my bag to the couch, and I swirled my hair in the air.

“It was really a long day, honey.” A soft exhale escaped through my lips.

“And also a memorable day of my life. It would be best if you didn't forget to add that to it,” Eden responded, his back getting lower, and his fingers landed on my feet.

A feeling of relaxation and shyness washed over me as he helped with my buckle. “Thank you, babe.” I smiled at him before he moved to my rack.

“How I wished Davin and I had been good brothers before now. Don't you think the bond would have been stronger?” He turned his face, and I noticed how cracked his heart had been.

“It isn't late, okay? You aren't at fault, so you don't have to take the blame or guilt. Nevertheless, I’m glad you both are getting together now.” I patted his shoulder calmly, and I saw his burden lessened.

We had a great night after having ourselves sleeping in each other’s arms.
