Chapter 36 - The wedding part 3

I sipped on my champagne flute, watching Lena and Chuck take their first dance as husband and wife.

It was magical.

The setting was romantic, with dim lights and white drapes falling from the centre of the wood beam ceiling and tied on posts in the spacious barn.

The wedding was intimate. Only thirty people had come—mostly on Chuck’s family side. Then there were a few family and work friends, Kat, Nate, Dominic and me.

I was a little further in the back, leaning against a wooden post and watching the scene unfold. Lena was beautiful in her white sleeveless Cinderella dress. She had removed the small fur wrap I had gotten her so she wouldn’t freeze outside.

It was nice and warm in the barn, and I understood why this place was highly sought after for events—the location was incredible, with rolling hills under the mountains offering a fairytale-like scenery. Lena and Chuck’s wedding pictures would be breathtaking.
