Ethan:

“I wish you’d just come back home.” I said to Kimberly, watching her like a hawk.

I had no idea how she always managed to look gorgeous in everything she wears. She was currently wearing grey sweatpants and strapless top and some how she looked like she’d just come from a vogue photoshoot

“And I wish you’d give me the deeds to my company.” She retorted.

“We both know that’s not a good idea.” I said to her

I had no idea how to explain to her that she was playing right into her uncle’s palm. She genuinely seemed to love him and thought I was the bad guy. Yes, I was kind of the bad guy but not towards her. I was only trying to protect her. Why couldn’t she see that everything o did was for her own good. Why wasn’t I enough for her?

“I don’t care what you think is a good idea anymore. I want my inheritance. Get the lawyers to transfer everything to my name. I’ll be back next week.” She said in an authoritative tone that both pissed me off and made me proud at the same time.
