I can’t get over him

Helen’s POV

"What are we having for breakfast today, mummy?" Ethan's voice wafted into my ears as I opened the refrigerator.

We had both woken up two hours ago and I had been too lazy to get up and look for what to eat, despite my stomach panging with famish.

It was only when Ethan's stomach started to rumble that I decided to leave the comfort of my bed.

"I will whip something up, sweetie," I muttered. "Mummy forgot to pick up some groceries yesterday."

How could it have slipped out of my mind?

Yesterday before leaving for work, I had mentally noted to stop by at the mall to get some groceries but somehow, I had forgotten to do so.

I had initially planned to spend that weekend at home binge watching some soap operas while ignoring the way my heart tugged with an inexplicable feeling for Fernando.

After going to his office yesterday, a funny feeling slithered into my chest and ever since then, I couldn't stop thinking about him.
