Chapter 35 - I love only you.

Gabriel froze, as regret filled his eyes. He could not say that she was lying because she was drunk. No person would tell lies when drunk and he was sure that Maeve would not remember anything when she woke up the next morning.

She looked depressed and heartbroken so if it wasn’t because of Dylan and Sandra, then who? Also, she broke up with Gabriel because of Dylan so what changed? And why was she still with Dylan and wearing his engagement ring if she hated him as much as she said?

“Then why are you with him?” Gabriel asked her.

Maeve was drowsy so she was about to lean against the bar counter when Gabriel pulled her towards him, so his head was resting against his chest. He was standing while she sat on the bar stool so that was the most comfortable position for her.

“I just want to recover everything he stole and make him pay for messing with me. For messing with my head and making me think that he cared about me. For making me sign the divorce papers and embarrassing you." She
