Chapter 24

All day I avoided Cyran, as he wanted me to stay away from him. I thought that until he at least cooled off, I would abide by his request. It helped that Jade came over and offered to cook meals today, which allowed me to stay in the basement.

For most of the morning, I struggled with my writing, but by afternoon I managed to write a few chapters. After eating supper, I reread the chapters and realized they weren’t that great. In the end, I deleted the chapters.

Until I could get my head right and settle the emotional turmoil that I was in over Cyran, I was not going to try to write for now. I would prefer to give my book the best writing material that I could, instead of mediocre stuff when I wasn’t feeling what I was writing. Maybe this wasn’t the career I should have chosen.
