“No!” I screamed as I watched Arion being killed in front of me again.

I couldn’t see who had been responsible, as the face was blurred. I was once again having the dream of when I had been killed, except it started from where I left off. I thought that perhaps I would be able to see the person’s face, but just like before it was blurred out.

Seeing as I wasn’t going to be able to directly identify the one who caused my death, I tried not to get emotional as I focused on the scene before me. Even if I couldn’t identify the person, I might be able to learn who it is.

“Why?” The past version of me asked.

“I have been planning this for years and for once I was able to fool your mate into leaving you alone. It isn’t my fault that this one also kept getting in my way. Unlike your mate, I know I can defeat him. Now I just need that stone you carry so I can become the King I am meant to be.” The voice was distorted, so I couldn’t identify who it was.
