The purchase of the jewelry went smoothly; she bought two rings, both for Alexander. She couldn’t stop admiring the ring as Alessandro drove back home. She wondered if Alexander would love the ring she got for him. She pushed the ring into the shopping bag and looked out the window.

She had bought it with his money, after all. He was going to accept it whether he liked it or not, especially since Alessandro said Alexander does not wear birthstone rings. She couldn’t wait to see the look on his face.
