CHAPTER 24_Kneel and Apologize

She could hear their voices as she asked down the stairs, holding an empty tray. Two similar dark hairs were sitting opposite each other at the dining table. They were talking about something, but she couldn’t hear what they were saying properly. It was like they were whispering; she couldn’t hear. Things they were saying.

Alessandro was the first to raise his head to glance at her when he had just been handing over the tray to a maid. She glanced at them, and Alexander stared at her.

“Would you just stand there and look at us?” Alexander asked.

“No.” She replied, “I’m going to the room.”

She had avoided calling it her room; it was just a room they kept her in.

“If you say so.” Alessandro muttered.

She went back upstairs without knowing what to do there.

The next morning, when she woke up, there was no one in the house except her. She wondered where they had left; no one had told her anything before leaving. Her brows furrowed as she made her way downstairs after a long time in
