“She is my fiancee.” Alexander repeated.

Sofia’s face flushed with warmth, but it soon disappeared when she remembered that he was lying to his grandfather. She glanced at the faces of his grandfather and the lady who was standing behind Mr. Gareth.

Sofia wondered why the grandfather had different surnames. She closed her eyes and opened them almost immediately. He probably might be Alexander’s mother's father; she knew Alexander, but she knew nothing about his family.

She saw that as a failure to have a crush.

“What’s her name?” Mr. Gareth. “When do you have a girlfriend to the extent of having a fiancee?”

Mr. Gareth’s voice brought her back to reality. She glanced at Alexander. He had no emotion on his face. She then stared at Mr. Gareth, whose eyes were on her.

“We have been dating since high school.” Alexander lied. “I’m getting married to her soon.”
