CHAPTER 68

SAMANTHA'S POV

The doctor rushed over to where Emilio was as I was already panicking. I stood there as I watched him doing his thing.

"Pass me my briefcase." He said to me,

I went to where it was and fetched it for him as I handed it over.

"Patience, ma'am. He might yet survive this." The doctor said to me,

Surviving this, Emilio was going pale by the second and I feared for his life. I have no idea but suddenly, I recalled that I used to be taught how to pray during my days as a child. All this while, I had not given thoughts to prayers as I did not deem it necessary but then, what was necessity if not the most important.

I began muttering prayers and begging the heavens to come assist me. I recalled how heavily the promises I was making sounded and how I could not even focus on anything else at the moment.

"Samantha?" I heard the weak voice of my husband and slowly forgot about all I had been doing as I opened my eyes slowly.
