Chapter One hundred and seventy seven

AMELIA’s POV….

I held the sword in my hand as I caressed it tips, taking in a deep breathe as I ran my fingers through my hair.

“That’s strange, though, don’t you think?” I heard Alaric ask his second in command who I addressed as “beta” most times.

I shook my head as I kept jumping from each side, making sure the sword moved with me from each side. This was a trick Alaric had taught me and I needed to perfect. According to him, I never knew where the attack was coming from so I needed to be very mobile.

I needed to make sure my sword could move from all angles and I completely agreed with him, because I didn’t know the things I was up against. They had managed to take Alex through a portal, and as such, they could be very harmful to me, and my baby.

I shook my head as thinking about my baby being in danger, fear surged through me.

“Argh!” I groaned in fear as I swung the sword while I turned.

“Oh, my goodness!” I heard someone scream and turning, it was Alaric.
