Chapter one hundred and eighty

AMELIA’s POV….

He helped me off the floor as he led me to the bed and looking at the condition of the room and recalling how I had almost lost my life being in here, I held on to his hand.

“I don’t want to be here right now, Alaric. I’m scared.” I told him and he pulled me in for an embrace as I cried in his arms.

“I never asked for this, Alaric. I never asked to have any of these powers that are putting me in danger.” I said as I grabbed on tighter to his coat.

I drew in a sharp breathe as closing my eyes, I recalled the knife being held to my stomach. I held on tighter to the coat and just then, the knife coming right for my stomach hit me and I opened my eyes as I took my head out of his embrace, getting off the bed as I moved to the door.

“Come. Come with me.” He said as he wrapped his hands around me, leading me to his own room as he helped me get on the bed.
