Chapter One hundred and eighty five

AMELIA’s POV….

As I ran as fast as I could, I started to feel my legs quiver. It felt like I was going to fall in no time, but I had to keep going. I gasped in pain as I held on to my stomach, not even bothering to turn because I didn’t know where I was headed.

I swallowed as I almost fell after tripping. “Damn it!” I cursed under my breathe as limping, I kept going.

I didn’t care if I bled. What mattered was that I managed to get away from whatever that was and I managed to keep Alaric and Alex safe because that was the only thing that mattered now, especially as I knew that Lilly was safe.

“Stop making this harder for yourself, Amelia. Give up now!” It screamed at me as it kept coming for me, but I refused to.

Clearly, I had underestimated its powers because how was it possible that after it had melted that day, right in front of my eyes, it had returned again? What this thing could do, I didn’t know, and I definitely wasn’t willing to test what it was capable of doing where Alex
