Getting back to work

Edwin's POV

As usual, I didn't respond to any of their greetings since it meant nothing. There was only one person that would have made a scene if she was to greet me but that person is in my bed. I thought of it severally and could only come to a conclusion that, Miranda, though she's thorough, she had drank so much because I sacked her. The thought alone had made my morning.

“Good morning sir.. The SLL group would be arriving later at noon to sign up the deal we offered.” My secretary informed and I could only respond be nodding.

“What of the project..? When did they say they are coming..?” I asked as we stepped forward till I got to Miranda's desk. She would have been doing all of these if she were to be here. Nothing was left except for the company's computer. Her things were gone.

“Did Miranda move all her things already..?” I couldn't help but ask. I fired her only because of what she had said but I never thought she'd do just that and get drunk. That lady..!!

“Hmm.. Yes sir. Sh
