Miranda's POV

I blinked severally but that voice, I was so sure it was Edwin but then, maybe it's just my head, displaying how pathetic I am. I laughed, making the atmosphere more tense than it already was.

“You thought I would fall for it if you disguised as Edwin..? You failed, Christabel..” I said, belching afterwards. Indeed there is nothing to hide when you're in a bar, knowing fully well that nobody cares.

“Miranda..!” He grumbled, clenching his fist.

“Alright, alright. I had only six bottle's but it's not my fault, I promise.” my head was already down on the table with my eyes closed when I answered. I felt Christabel sigh real deep and later on, I felt a pair of hands pick me up in a bridal style.

I couldn't tell how she had such muscle but I felt every one of it on my body, the warmth it brought when I'm in her hands that I had to snuggle closer for more. On the other hand, something in my head was telling me that I'm with my boss yet I wasn't ready to protest, falling deep
