CHAPTER 29

We landed in Syria and luckily we had a shuttle waiting for us, which drove us up to the mountains. As tired as we were, we hiked from the nearest point the cab could go. Thank fuck we all bought snacks and drinkables at the airport and stuffed our bags because, after an hour of hiking, I was starving. We didn't stop though, as we all agreed it would make us lazy and our legs already felt like jelly.

A torturous two-and-a-half hours later, we reached the top of Mount Hermon. I assume nobody has ever made it this far to the top because we are met with stares from the villagers, all dressed rather fashionably, which shocks me because I did not think any of them ever left the top of the mountain.

I saw a caramel-colored man. He's very big! He has the potential to be Gabriel and Jackson stacked on top of each other. That would be his height, like 12 f 2 if not taller. "I am Anak Chief of this tribe, what brings you here? You do not smell of humans, but I have never scented your kind bef
