A week after the team returned to Scotland, the country Scarlette called home for so long, her grandfather had mutliple organ failure and sadly passed on.

Alpha Jackson had flown his mate Sasha over since they would be staying longer and dear Lydia helped Scarlette plan the sudden funeral.

Scarlette stood in front of her grandfather's grave, feeling the weight of loss and grief upon her shoulders. The funeral was a simple affair, nothing like the lavish and extravagant events that the Vampire King was used to. But it was everything that Scarlette's grandfather would have wanted - a quiet and dignified send-off, with only family and close friends in attendance.
