Skyler's P. O. V " What are you doing?" Sylvia asked when I took my phone. " Oh... I've finally remembered the person who can help us with an investigator." I replied, scrolling through my phone. " She's an investigator?" " No. Her friend is. Her name's Ariana." I said and she nodded, eating her pizza. Looking for and finding her number, I proceeded to call her. Skyler's P. O. V " Hello there. I'm Natalie. Natalie Maddox. " She said, shaking my hands. I smiled, releasing it. " Hi, Natalie," I said and she grinned. " Just call me Natty. " " Oh... Right. Just call me Sky then." I said and we chuckled. I instantly liked her. Sobering up, she continued talking. " You said you needed a detective?" " Oh no, I don't. She does." I said, glancing at Sylvia who waved. " Hello, I'm Sylvia." " Hi, Sylvia. Nice to see you." " Who's he? " Ariana piped up, pointing at Patrick. " Your boyfriend?" " Ariana!" Natalie muttered, giving her a disapproving look. I breathed in, smiling nervously. " No. He's my boss." I replied. " His name is Patrick." " Then... What's he doing here then?" Ariana asked, her gaze moving from me to him. " She forgot to mention that I'm also a friend of theirs," Patrick Spoke up, " Oh... That makes sense then." Ariana mumbled. (Next day) Patrick's P. O. V I was dressing up for work when I heard my phone ring. Picking it up, I didn't bother to check who was called when I picked it up. " Hello, who's this?" I said into the phone, adjusting my tie. " It's Alex." His low voice filtered through. " Hey man, how are you? We've been worried about you." " I'm fine but I really don't have time to talk. How's Sylvia? " " She's fine. " I replied, picking up my car keys and heading out. " Can I talk to her?" " You're going to have to call me later for that, I'm no where near her. Alex's P. O. V " What did you say?" I repeated, my voice so low it was barely audible. She nodded, smiling wistfully to herself. " Yeah... I want you to introduce me to your parents." (Few days later) Sylvia's P. O. V Staring mindlessly at the bowl of cereal before me, I sighed softly. It's been days since I last heard from Alex and worry is an understatement of what I was doing. Calling him wouldn't help because he never picks up. I was even tempted to go back to Oklahoma but Natalie insisted it would be a terrible idea. Biting my lips, I tried to keep myself from crying. It never helps. As if my thoughts conjured me, my phone rang. I picked up my phone and seeing it was an unknown number, took some time before I answered it. " Hello, who's this?" I muttered quietly, cautious. " Sylvia? " Alex thick voice boomed through and I held my breath, gasping in relief. " Alex! You called!!" I whisper yelled, standing up. He chuckled a bit. " I did, didn't I?" " I miss you! What's going on? Are you okay?" " I'm fine. I miss you too." " I'm so sorry Alex..." I began, my voice breaking. " I'm really sorry, this should not be happening. How's Tasha treating you?"

Alex's P. O. V Arriving at my parents house moments later, I rushed in, my head in a frenzy. " Mom! Dad!? Where are you?" I called out, looking around. (New Orleans) Sylvia's P. O. V. " You need a reason on how dangerous Tasha can be? Hear this. She tried to kill Alex's dad." Natalie said and I gasped. " What!? " I squeaked, glancing at Skyler who looked shocked as well. " Yes. If you go back now, she will not hesitate to kill you and we don't want that. The only way out of this is in. Author's P. O. V Natalie and Ariana walked out of the airport, on their way to board a taxi. On the way, Natalie began a conversation. " But seriously though... Are you sure this is going to work?" She asked, glancing at Ariana who shrugged. " Trust me Natty, have I ever given you a bad plan? " She asked and Natalie raised her brow at her. " I don't know Ari. But this sounds pretty dangerous if something goes wrong. " " Which is why it won't. Get everything in place and I'll take it from there. " " Okay.... " Natalie muttered, sighing....
