KIARA'S POV

The days have gone by so quickly. Today is the exact day I am supposed to leave. I woke up at Mila's house with the thought moving in and out of my head. Thankfully, Mila has relocated; if not, I am sure that Mateo would have found me. I purposely avoided staying at my house because I knew he would definitely come for me.

I woke up very early in the morning. That was about thirty minutes before my alarm would ring. I took my bath and made breakfast for myself and Mila. I wanted to get a few of my things from Mateo's house and finally go away from him. I don't know how I would possibly cope with seeing him. The doctor had warned me not to stress myself, both emotionally and physically, because of my condition.

"Are you up already?" Mila asked. I mistakenly woke her up with my noise when I was searching for my hair brush on the counter.
