Thirty eight

SONA'S POV

I peered around and had no sight of anyone. This is the only chance I have to run away from him—from my nightmare. The chance to look for my freedom

I can't stand living with him anymore; I can't stand looking at him like he owns the world, and no one can remove him from his power.

I inaudibly crept through the sitting room. I handled the door mildly to avoid making a sound. I turned the doorknob. It made a faint sound. I grimaced at the sound. I felt like the whole world would hear that faint sound, and I wouldn't want to be caught.

I opened the door, slightly biting my lips and clenching my fingers. My feet were at the tip. I looked around; the room was silent. no sign of maids or servants. not yet. It was dark and hazy, but it was still dawn.

I heaved a sigh of relief. A smile of pleasure escaped my face. I can't remember the last time I was this happy. Maybe when I was much younger. I had love in my life when the world and its inhabitants were not after my happiness.
