32. Like a Stranger

Andien stood and looked around the room Irah had given her. Her eyes wandered, as if to make sure there was nothing to make her feel uncomfortable.

A painting of a young girl caught Andien's attention and her head snapped to Irah.

"Whose painting?"

"I don't know. It's been on the wall since I started working here," Irah replied.

Andien approached and looked at the painting. There was something so strange that her eyes couldn't look anywhere else.

"Do you recognise the face in the painting?" asked Mark.

"I don't know. I think I've seen it before, but I'm not sure myself," Andien replied weakly.

Andien's eyebrows almost knitted together as her eyes saw the wrist of the girl in the painting and Andien unconsciously held her wrist.

Mark, who had been watching Andien from the beginning, was surprised to see the girl holding her hand. Was the girl Andien and why did Kenan's parents keep the painting?

"Are you all right?" Mark asked again.

"Sure," Andien replied with a nod.
